The Inspection

Synopsis:

Young, homosexual Black man Ellis French joins the Marines in an effort to achieve in a system that would otherwise reject him. Ellis is rejected by his mother and has few other alternatives for the future.
But while struggling with ingrained prejudice and the demanding routines of basic training, he discovers surprising strength, support, and camaraderie in this new environment, giving him a hard-earned sense of belonging that will mould his identity and drastically alter his life.
