On Sacred Ground

Synopsis:

Based on actual events that occurred in 2016 when the Dakota Access Pipeline was being built across North Dakota’s Standing Rock Indian Reservation on territory held by the Lakota “Sioux” Tribe. The movie centres on Daniel, a journalist and former soldier who served in the Afghanistan War, and Elliot, a senior executive from an oil corporation, who find themselves on opposing sides of the conflict during the building of the divisive pipeline.
